BURNETT, Inc. began as, and remains today, a family-operated business. Scott Burnett and his father, Guy Burnett, Sr., began BI in 1979 with the able assistance of his brother, Guy, Jr. and their mother, Patty. Their philosophy was the Golden Rule. “We thought that if we were to do for our customers as we would want them do for us, our business would be a success," Scott said. This philosophy has worked well given that referrals account for more than 75% of their new customers.
A huge obstacle to overcome early on was when Scott's father passed away unexpectedly just one year later. Scott was then a novice at running a business and received much advice from family and friends along with the much needed prayer support of Mom. He continued to operate the company with the Christian principles and ethics that had been taught to him early in life.
Scott continues to deliver high quality craftsmanship and materials to customers. “Our customers are proud of their homes and depend on and trust us to add value and comfort to their homes. We take that trust very seriously." Honesty and quality craftsmanship continue to be the foundation of Scott and BI's good reputation. On top of this, BURNETT provides each customer with a written workmanship guarantee signed by Scott on every installation for as long as the purchasers live in their home. Over the years Scott has employed nearly all his family members and 4 of them are working for the Company now. Scott is grateful for the Lord's blessings, grace, and favor over the years. BURNETT, Inc. company resources have grown from supporting just one family in the beginning, to now helping support over 30 families. Scott also knows that God's blessings come with the responsibility of good stewardship. BURNETT, Inc. supports many charities. One such ministry is The Little Light House - a Burnett family favorite.
